Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant summarizes 2020 production results
In 2020, JSC "Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant" (an enterprise of UMMC) produced 211,781 tons of Special High Grade zinc and zinc-based alloys, which is up by 2.3% YoY (207,014t).
2020 for Nova Zinc LLC, operating the lead-zinc mine in Akzhal, Kazakhstan and controlled by the owners of the JSC "Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant", resulted in 38,968 tons of zinc concentrate, which is a 8.3% rise (35,966) YoY.
The annual performance of JSC "Sibir-Polymetals" (the Altai Krai), the subsidiary of Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant, stood at 29,141 tons of zinc concentrate, which surpasses the output of the past year by 16.9% (24,932 tons).
“Production ramp-up has been achieved by building up technical resources and adopting operations transformation programme”, says Pavel Izbrecht, Director of JSC “Chelyabinsk Zinc Plant”. “We will proceed with enhancing production efficiency”.
